Event Details

Join Healthtech Women Chicago for an evening of discussion and networking during the Becker’s Hospital Review 2nd Annual Health IT + Clinical Leadership + Pharmacy 2019.

Guest Sherri Douville, CEO and board member at Medigram (Los Gatos, CA) and Sheila Whalen, DNP, RN-BC Clinical Integration Program Manager at Rush University Medical Center and member of the Healthcare and Public Health Sector Coordinating Council (HSCC) will lead a discussion together with Chuck Reotutar, Growth Leader at Focus Solutions & Co-Founder Healthtech Women Chicago (additional panelists to be announced) focused on three complex, yet critical topics in the discussion about interoperability:

1) Data elements & interoperability. You can’t always exchange whole documents in a mobile context. This changes the interoperability game.

2) API security vs security of faxes and paper, & general interoperability security.

3) Mobile is required for care transformation and quality improvement. Mobile computing in medicine will rely on both interoperability of data elements and a more sophisticated understanding of security than what’s been widely known within the medical industry in the past.

This will be a very timely discussion with all official comments to the notice for proposed rule making, NPRM for interoperability due on June 3 to the federal register.

Agenda:

5:30 pm Panel
