KEYNOTE SPEAKER:
Tarangini (Gini) Deshpande, Founder & CEO at NuMedii
Gini has 15+ years of experience translating cutting edge life sciences technologies into products. As founder and CEO of NuMedii, she helped develop the company’s core computational technology, built a stellar team, structured critical partnerships and raised the Company’s initial rounds of financing from two leading Bay Area VC firms. Previously, as a consultant, she helped early stage companies identify optimal markets for their technologies and enabled them to raise over $25M in financing. At Affymetrix, she was responsible for new product opportunities for their largest customer segment. As Director of an early stage business unit at Children’s Hospital Boston, she secured multi million dollar grants and enabled prototype development for six medical device products. She has also managed broad, diverse IP portfolios and closed licensing deals worth several million. Gini has co-authored numerous papers, and is the recipient of several awards. She received her PhD in Biological Sciences from Purdue University and did post-doctoral work at Harvard Medical School. She completed her MSc. from the University of Pune, India.
